Part of Flavoria’s lunch restaurant is going under renovation in the end of May when one of the vegan lunch lines is taken down. During the summer, Sodexo will replace the old lunch line with a new salad buffet which brings a long-waited addition to Flavoria’s lunch selection.
– The original idea to a salad buffet came from customer feedback. We want to meet the expectations and wishes of our customers as well as possible, and a substantial salad buffet has been one of the top wishes. In addition to salad components, there will always be a warm protein to choose from. The portions are priced based on the weight, so customers can take as much or as little as they want. We are really looking forward to opening the salad buffet, tells Minna Lintula, Sodexo Flavoria’s Service Manager.
The price per kilo is the same for both students and other customers. In addition to lunch time, the new buffet also serves in the morning, offering delicious breakfast options. During the renovation, the restaurant is open normally, and the new lunch line will be opened in August 2024. The other vegan lunch line on the Medisiina D side remains as it is. University of Turku continues to collect research data on the remaining lunch lines.
