Flavoria Innovation Festival is a week-long innovation event and a course during which multidisciplinary student teams tackle real challenges provided by food chain companies and organizations. In 2026, the Innovation Festival is organized for the fifth consecutive year, and the central theme is organic innovations.
For Students

In addition, you will:
- gain 2-5 ECTS
- learn new ideation methods (Design Sprint)
- learn how to pitch your ideas in a convincing way
- have the chance to spar with mentors and other experts.
For Companies
Bring your own, organic-inspired company challenge to the innovation week! The challenge can be related, for example, to product development, process renewal, consumer understanding or to new concepts advancing the use of organic products. Most importantly, the challenge needs to be well-defined and based on a true need or a point of development.

Flavoria Innovation Festival 2026 is organized as part of the “FoRDI – Accelerating RDI in the Food Sector through New Operating Models” project, co-funded by the EU, and the “OrganicInnovations” project, funded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland. The Innovation Festival is carried out by Business Turku and the Nutrition and Food Research Center, University of Turku.
