Registration for the Flavoria Innovation Festival is now open
The Flavoria Innovation Festival returns on November 9–13, 2026, bringing together students, experts, and industry partners to explore the future of organic food. This year’s festival will focus on developing innovative solutions and fresh ideas that support sustainable food systems and organic production.
The Flavoria Innovation Festival course will be organized again in October-November. The course starts with a compulsory seminar on October 27, and the actual innovation week takes place on November 9-13. This year’s company challenges focus on organic food, with topics covering a variety of themes.
What is Flavoria Innovation Festival?
Flavoria Innovation Festival is a week-long innovation event, organized on November 9–13, 2026, during which multidisciplinary student teams solve real company challenges.
This year’s amazing challenges are all related to organic food, with a focus on sustainability, circular economy, product development, marketing and export. The challenges are presented by Vihreä Härkä, Lassen Luomu, Valio, Ketola farm and Suomi Siitake.
The language of the week is English, and we warmly welcome students from different universities and schools to participate. Working hours during the week (from Mon to Fri) are approximately from 10/12 to 5 PM. Additionally, on October 27, 2026 we organize a compulsory seminar. There will also be a pre-assignment that has to be handed in before the week.

Flavoria Innovation Festival 2026 is organized as part of the “FoRDI – Accelerating RDI in the Food Sector through New Operating Models” project, co-funded by the EU, and the “OrganicInnovations” project, funded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland. The Innovation Festival is carried out by Business Turku and the Nutrition and Food Research Center, University of Turku.
